Keerthy Suresh

Keerthy Suresh (born 17 October 1992) is an Indian actress that appears mainly in Tamil as well as Telugu films in addition to several Malayalam films. She received the National Film Awards' Best Actress award for portraying Savitri as the lead character in the Telugu film Mahanati (2018). The actress also won three SIIMA Awards and a Filmfare Award South. Keerthy Kumar's parents are filmmaker G. Suresh Kumar & actress Menaka G. Suresh. Her first acting experience began in the mid 2000s. She starred in her debut major character in Geethaanjali (2013), which was a Malayalam motion picture. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). Keerthy took on her first Malayalam projects and also began working in Tamil in parallel. Even though the film was not a success at the box-office Her debut film came from A. A. Vijay's romantic-comedy Idhu Enna Maayam (2005) where she played with Vikramprabhu. To make room for larger projects due to her hectic schedule, she opted to not participate in certain films which she started to work on. The films included were Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye (a romance) and Deekay's Kavalaivendam. She worked in two films in rapid succession together with Sivakarthikeyan, Rajini Murugan & Remo. Dhanush was also an actor of note for Prabhu's Thodari. In 2015, the film was later delayed and reports suggest that Janakitho Nenu will debut in September 2020. In 2016, Nenu Sailaja which starred Ram Pothineni, was her debut. Keerthy debuted in Bairavaa (directed by Bharathan) opposite actor Vijay.
