Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. Her name was chosen by her parents for the town in which she grew up. Michel Horowitz was her father as well as Cynthia Palmer, his mother was both an author as well as editors. Ryder's father was born into a Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. Ryder is the younger sister of Uria who is half-sister to Jubal & Sunyata. In the year Ryder was just seven years old, her family relocated to Mendocino County California. They didn't even have electricity. Ryder was a voracious read and often spent her time reading books because there was no TV. Ryder started taking classes in acting at the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 aged 12. In 1986 she was offered her first major-screen appearance in the film Lucas at just fifteen years old. Ryder suffered from bullying throughout highschool. Ryder believed that if she became an actor her behaviour would be changed. However, the plan didn't pan out. However, she continued to pursue her dreams. In 1988 she had her biggest break with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder kept playing successful roles in various films. In 1993, she received an Academy Awards to be awarded for The Age of Innocence.
